New Construction

In a post the other day on one of my walks I mentioned the new building going up at Silversands State Park, this is the second attempt to build these buildings which if I remember correctly are going to be concession stands and office space, the previous construction as going well, but then they had a fire and it was all destroyed, and for this post, I will share some shots of its current state and no doubt I will return at some stage to give an update and show it when finished

Starting with a shot of it from a distance over the dry swampy land, soon when spring starts coming in, the colors will be returning especially the greens

There was a lot of resistance to the changes to this park, it used to be seen as property or Milford City and free to visit, however as I understand it it will still be free to tax-paying residents of the city, but will be a fee for others.

Silver Sands State Park is a public recreation area located on Long Island Sound in the city of Milford, Connecticut.[3] The state park consists of 297 acres (120 ha) of beach, dunes, restored salt marsh, open areas and woods as well as the 14-acre (5.7 ha) bird sanctuary of Charles Island.

As I understand it it is officially owned by the State of Connecticut and managed by the Department of Energy and Environmental Protection.

Will be good to see how the finished building looks and whatis thre, but also look forward to seeing the colors change inthe coming weeks
