Due to the upcoming elections in my country, students of tertiary institutions have been asked to embark on a three week break from school so as to exercise their franchise in the forthcoming elections.
Today being the last day at school before the break, freshers of the theater department in the prestigious university of Uyo, Nigeria came out colorful in their different traditional attires for their induction.
They danced so happily showcasing their love for tradition and culture.
I especially loved the paintings on their faces, though I couldn't get a close shot of anyone of their faces.
I love cultural display and the theater students present this more than anyone else does as they're used to performances and colors.
Lots of students stood around jeering for them as they celebrated their induction. They all seemed really excited and yes the show was worth the excitement.
I once participated in acting in my first level and the stress of acting on stage was way more than I expected and TBH I swore never to do anything close to acting in movies or drama on stage even though it's exciting and entertaining to watch others perform.
There are different tribes in Nigeria and they presented each tribe well by showcasing the attire of each amazing tribe.
To graduate with good grades from the theater department one has to be very focused and I wished them a happy induction. It was a big welcome to the game of struggles. Hehe
