I'll tell you about Red Crescent Square today.
It's a place we usually visit every weekend.
Sometimes we come here for work reasons, sometimes arbitrarily.
This is the big city square in central Ankara.
We can call the heart of the city.
Because all access to the city is provided from here.
And all roads lead to Red Crescent Square. 🙂
Red Crescent Square is named after the Turkish Red Crescent building built here in 1920.
Kızılay Square, which has become the most famous square in Ankara, also bears witness to many events.
Because over the years, this place has been a center where many national and public holidays are celebrated throughout the country.
It has become the center of all political actions, protests and marches.
I can say that this is a gathering place not only for Ankara residents, but also for everyone.
The Square, which is occupied by a crowd of at least 3 million a day, seems calm and relaxed at night. 🙂
Sometimes, when I watch this square from high, I think that this crowd is too much for this city.
I feel like one day he's going to rebel against this crowd.
Maybe cities have feelings, too. We don't know that.
But we must love and protect our land, which embraces everyone.
I hope this city continues to put up with us.

Bugün size kızılay meydanından bahsedeceğim.
Bizim genellikle her hafta sonu ziyaret ettiğimiz bir yer.
Bazen iş güç sebebi ile bazen keyfi olarak buraya geliyoruz.
Burası Ankara'nın merkezindeki büyük kent meydanı. Şehrin göbeği de diyebiliriz. Çünkü şehrin tüm ulaşımı buradan sağlanıyor.
Ve bütün yollar kızılay meydanına çıkıyor. 🙂
Kızılay meydanı adını 1920 yıllarında buraya inşa edilen Türk kızılay binasından almıştır.
Ankaranın en ünlü meydanı hale gelen kızılay meydanı bir çok olaya da tanıklık eder.
Çünkü burası yıllar boyunca ülke genelinde kutlanan birçok millî ve resmî bayramın kutlandığı bir merkez olmuştur.
Bütün siyasi eylemler, protestolar ve yürüyüşlerin merkezi haline gelmiştir.
Sadece Ankaralılar için değil herkes için toplanma alanı diyebilirim.
Günde en az 3 milyon kalabalığın işgaline uğrayan meydan gece olunca sakin ve rahatlamış görünüyor. 🙂
Bazen bir yüksekten bu meydanı seyrederken bu kalabalığa daha fazla dayanamayacak ve isyan edecekmiş gibi hissediyorum. 😇
Belki şehirlerin de duyguları vardır. Bunu bilemeyiz.
Ama herkese kucak açan topraklarımızı sevmeli ve korumalıyız.
