Un día en el oftalmólogo. Les cuento que hoy, como todos los años, tuve que llevar a mi mamá a su cita con el oftalmólogo. Salimos hacia la consulta a las 8:00 a. m., y la cita era a las 9:00 a. m., porque me gusta llegar temprano para ser uno de los primeros; gracias a Dios, éramos los segundos. Mientras esperábamos, empezamos a hablar para que la espera no se hiciera tan larga.
A las 10:00 a. m. llegó el médico y pudimos entrar alrededor de las 10:45 a. m. Después de examinarla, lamentablemente le dijo que no podía mandarle nueva fórmula porque tiene catarata senil y las posibilidades de ver mejor con ella era casi nula. Así que le mandó a practicar varios exámenes para ver si se puede operar, así que tengo que pedir un presupuesto para ver si es posible.
Ahora tiene que esperar a que le hagan las pruebas para que la reevalúen y la puedan remitir a un especialista. Debemos cuidar nuestra salud en todos los sentidos para evitar complicaciones que luego nos causen más preocupaciones y, sobre todo, ponerla en manos de Dios y de profesionales como este doctor que hace su trabajo con amor, dedicación y siempre con un cuidado atento hacia sus pacientes.
A day at the ophthalmologist. I'll tell you that today, like every year, I had to take my mom to her appointment with the ophthalmologist. So he sent her for several tests to see if she can have surgery, so I have to ask for a quote to see if it's possible.
Now she has to wait for the tests to be done so she can be reevaluated and referred to a specialist. We must take care of our health in every way to avoid complications that will cause us more worries later on and, above all, put it in the hands of God and professionals like this doctor who does his work with love, dedication, and always with attentive care for his patients.
