10 Years Old Vanda Orchid - Easiest Air Plant rescued Potting mix media

I felt bad when i saw people will take down this big tree which is having a lot of very old Vanda Orchid (air-plant) into it. In this video i will reveal BEST soil to grow them faster,

Though they are all in Orchidaceae family,it is having much tiny flower than other orchids. Propagating Vanda orchid to me is so easy as i just got them from the big tree where they were growing massively. These Orchid plant are really healthy & flowering as well, There were lot of baby orchids also. I just took couple of them at my garden. Vnda Orchid are very hardy and can live without water for long. I put them into Orchid plant jar with my special mix media.

1. Light
   Light plays an important role when growing a Vanda orchid plant. There are three general types of this species classified depending on their leaves:

strap-leaved, semi-terete, and terete Vandas.

1. Temperature and Humidity
   As a warm-growing orchid, most Vanda plants thrive best under temperatures between 55 degrees F to 95 degrees F. They can tolerate cold spells for a short time as long as it is not windy.

   Proper watering is another vital factor in growing an orchid plant successfully (2). This species of orchids enjoy a sufficient amount of water, primarily if grown in slotted baskets where their roots freely dangle toward the ground. It is crucial to keep the plants moist but not soggy to avoid rot.

2. Potting and Growing Media
   Vanda orchids grow best when grown in well-draining media, such as fern fibers, coarse fir bark, or sphagnum moss. Repotting these orchids should be done every three to five years in spring.

Finally, if you can use Cocopit with a little bit of regular soil that would really grow faster with nice drane system.
