Australian Way of Dealing with Coronavirus ....

Hi Everyone,

Forget the stockpile, the toilet paper, the rice. The last 24 hours have been a bit of an interesting time for Australian and many parts of the world. Let's forget lots of money have been wiped off the stock exchange, how crypto has fallen with double-digit percentages, or how much a pack of 24 rolls of toilet paper is selling on Ebay. The Australian government has come out today to give us what they think is right for our community and the decisions being made are liked or not liked but some. Let me highlight a few to you that have been announced today + other big events being cancelled

Reconsider All Overseas Travel

Although our safe traveller guide doesn't recommend that to most countries, the government has put it out there already to ask all Australians to reconsider any overseas travel during this tense period. Think if it is necessary and make a good judgment

Cancel All Gatherings with 500+ people

The Prime Minister said that this rule will only come into play on Monday as he thinks going to the see the Sharks play tomorrow and going to Hill Song on Sunday will be ideal before this ban comes into play. Not sure how this really fitted with the public but certainly I wasn't pleased with this decision. A few hours later he decided to change his mind to see the Sharks place as Home Affairs Minister Peter Dutton announced he was tested positive for the virus. Oh but he still has to attend Hill Song on Sunday.....

Royal Easter Show 2020 Will Be Cancelled

The most anticipated event each year will be cancelled. There are so many people each year going the Easter Show it is a risk if everyone is close by together. It is sad for the farmers but for the community, it was a no brainer to cancel it.

F1 Cancelled

Honestly, this was cancelled too late in my opinion. All these people flying from overseas have arrived. Not saying they would bring the virus into the country but this could avoid them from potentially contracting the virus here or in transit.

I'll continue to report on how we are dealing with the issue as we are having close to 200 confirmed cases and will potentially be more as we are running low on testing kits so they are only testing a selected group of people. I guess we just have to wait and see how this all pans out. Thank you to all those who have reached out to me if I have enough toilet paper or how I am going here.
