I think so far the psyberx team has shown that these allegations have not held up very well.
FACT: Their portfolio page showed other peoples unity assets as if their own creation.
FACT: Once I pointed them out, most were removed from their portfolio page. Why?
FACT: After removing them they then claimed it was what their clients asked for and could afford, ignoring the fact that they didn't disclose this anywhere on their portfolio page which misleads people into thinking their own studio created the work. A portfolio page is to show your work, not screenshots of others work.
FACT: The actual creators of the assets confirmed they were their assets and were not happy about RRS displaying them as their own work and stated it's basically what scammers do.
FACT: The games they showed as their creation were noob level and/or cheap white label quality. In other words, any serious game developer would laugh them off and warn you that the elaborate claims they were making could not likely be accomplished.
FACT: They are not building "the biggest blockchain game yet in the industry".
FACT: They toned down that message after my post and claimed it was just marketing, thereby IMHO confirming that what I said was true and what they claimed was false and was intentionally misleading.
FACT: 5 months later they still have no game to show. The "leaked" footage shows what appears to be cheap Unity assets with a cheap third-person controller. This is basically prefab level quality that can be purchased for under $200 and modified within a few hours at most. I don't expect the coming footage to be much more than what we've already seen except with more pew pew pew pow pow pow and multiplayer (which can be purchased for under $100).
For under $100 you can buy a complete white label game with online multiplayer support in different regions, tons of weapons and different game modes. You can then add your own characters, weapons, effects, etc and make it appear to be different. I've done it myself to learn Unity.
But again, this is noob level Unity dev stuff and as I said in my original post, this appears to be exactly what they're doing and have done in the past, hoping no one noticed and if caught just make an excuse that the uninformed will buy.
Give me $100K and I'll sell you a $100 Unity white label game with full multiplayer support. It will take me 15 minutes to complete, but I'll drag it out for months for appearances sake. I'll even put the word "Hive" in the title for another $20,000. (;
So, what did I get wrong? Please elaborate.
Did I miss something? I've checked in on the project every few weeks and I've seen nothing new, just more NFT selling to bring them in more money. The Hive Community seems happy to "pump & dump their token for profit" (actual words from an investor) and see a poorly formatted post from them every week saying things are progressing.
But I don't see any actual progress yet. I see more of the same cheap Unity assets, environments, third-person controller and effects. Have they integrated the likely white label game into the Hive blockchain? That would be a start towards progress.
Showing what can be purchased for a couple hundred dollars on the Unity store is what noobs and scammers do routinely on Steam (and get caught) and that's all I've seen so far (plus excuses), but I'm willing to hold out hope for the sake of the Hive Community!
I'm just calling it as I see it. If I'm wrong, great! If I'm right, I warned you. Either way I can't lose. (;
