Hi Hivers,
It's with great pleasure that am welcoming everyone to my blog and I hope you're all doing well and having a great day with your family. I will like to share with you about the latest development regarding my turkey birds that I shared some weeks ago.
After waiting for a long time that I nearly give up on my turkey birds because of lack of reproduction.
I invested in turkey 🦃 birds a year ago and I nearly give up on them because they couldn't reproduce. But some weeks ago, I begin to see some progress I have been waiting for when I discovered that my female turkey bird has started to lay eggs. My mind was relieved and I am happy that my investing in turkey birds has finally started to pay off.
The female turkey bird later lay thirteen eggs and started to incubate the eggs some weeks after. But when the female turkey bird is incubating the eggs, I have to locked up the male turkey bird inside the cage. I discovered that the male turkey bird have joined the female turkey bird and they are both staying on the eggs together.
I decide to ask one of my neighbour that is more experience in that aspect because this is the first time am witnessing such and he told me to lock up the male turkey bird ASAP or else all the eggs will get spoilt and I did what exactly he told me.
But after some weeks, my female turkey bird finally have its first hatch and I get to welcome a new poults in to my cage. The turkey bird hatch only five out of the thirteen eggs. One of the new turkey bird is not stable because the female turkey bird stepped on it and this caused neck dislocation to one of poult turkey and I have to separate it from the rest waiting for miracle to happen.
Presently, they are inside a carton where I put them. I will have to wait for some days before I can move the new poults in to the cage because I have to clean up the cage and patch up some holes due to the cold weather and I will as well do some wiring work because I have to provide light to the cage to aids overnight feeding and to keep the birds warm also.
I am happy that my investing in turkey birds is finally paying off and I will be sharing their progress with you all.
