Many start 2020 with a positive spirit. We aim to achieve and build many things. I remember when I wrote all I want to achieve before the year runs out. We are still in the year, but everyone goal turns from being the richest man to a man that needs to breathe and survive. Aside from the Coronavirus, many things have happened and still happening that makes this year a really scary year.
Australia Bushfire
Early this year, Australia Bushfire killed many animals, estimated to be around 1 billion. Many people were busy praying for Australia, and we never knew the worst is yet to happen.
Death of Maj. Gen. Qassim Suleimani
Qassim
While this was still rolling, we heard the killing of the Iranian Maj. Gen. Qassim Suleimani through American drone. This was a man the United state and Isreal tagged as a terrorist for a long period, but his people see him as their gem. We thought there may be a war between Iran and America. This same attack killed Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis, a commander of Popular Mobilization Forces and a few others.
Jakarta flood
Jakarta
Indonesia, Jakarta flood is another thing that claimed many lives and rendered thousands of people homeless. Though this was not the first things it happened in Jakarta. They had a case like this in the year, 1996, 2002, 2007,2013, and this year. Up to 66 people lost their lives to this and over 36,000 people were displaced.

Ukrainian Airliner
Still, in January, a Ukrainian airliner with 176 people on board crashed in Tehran, Iran, and everyone on board died. The world mourned, but we continue to live as it was not a new thing.
Earthquake
In the same January, a serious earthquake happened in Turkey and over 36 people killed with over 1600 injured in a 6.7-magnitude quake. Earthquakes have been happening in Turkey and seem like a common thing. It is recorded that over 17,000 died in Izmit in 1999 quake.
Delhi Riot
The Delhi riot was another news that scared the world. Over 53 people were brutally killed, and many injured in the cause of religion. The Hindus are killing the Muslims and Muslims are fighting back for their life. Is that what we read in how religion manuals? So sad that things like these are still happening in the world. Now, we understand that it is humanity first before religion.

Panic raised over the Volcano eruption in Phillipines close to the megacity of Malina.
Brexit
The Brexit issues have been on the rise since 2016, votes were cast and 52% of the people voted to that United Kingdom should exit from the European Union. The exit was formally announced back in 2017 but was delayed. This year marked the beginning of the transition which is believed to last through 2020.
Kobe and Gigi
Famous Basketball legend, Kobe Bryant, Gianna “Gigi” his teenage daughter and others died in a helicopter crash in Calabasas, California. It was a big shock to the united state, basketball lover like me, and the world at large.
East Africa Locust invasion
While the world is thinking of the spread of the coronavirus, Gigantic locust showed up in East Africa. This is a pest that can eat up crops, and vegetation to its bodyweight every day. This was the worst locust invasion in Kanya for 70 years, amid the coronavirus pandemic. Expert says this could lead 25 millions of people in East Africa to hunger. It is a terrifying thing as they came in full force as if they were unleashed for massive destruction.
The coronavirus effects in the world are still under watch. Sports events like the Olympic was proponed to 2021, and many bad things are still rocking the world. Another issue started with the killing of a man of colour in the united state.
An African American man, George Floyd was murdered in Minneapolis United state by some Policemen and this has raised the people to start a massive protest, destructions, and many are losing their lives in this. The people of colour have been victimized in so many ways, and maybe this will bring some changes to the world.
The coronavirus shows that it doesn’t matter either you are Christian, white, or anything, it is teaching us the care for humanity as a whole. We need ourselves, and there is no need for killing each other when the corona is already doing.
There was a blackout in the United white house and this made me think what a year 2020 is. The company managing electricity claimed it was as a result of high voltage conductor falling, but this might have something to do with the protesters. Protesters are hitting the White House and this seems to be getting serious. WE NEED LOVE, WE NEED PEACE; WE NEED THE GOOD WORLD AGAIN. The end is near, no matter how we try no to scare each other. We just need to heal the world, spread love, and stay together with love.
