One of the backbones in the blockchain industry are the nodes. These are keeping track of transactions, and they store and deliver information to those asking for such. That is why it is a pity that so few people really care about nodes, and that those freaks running nodes has had to do so without being rewarded for the job.
StrongBlock, led by David Moss, a guy with lots of experience and a quite famous name in the blockchain industry (worked with EOS and more), therefore set out to help the node owners.
When I first heard about StrongBlock, it sounded like a promising project, but I couldn't really imagine how it could take off. From the start of October until the start of December, they had registered more than 300 nodes, all of them set up by people who wanted to support the Ethereum network, and also enjoy the rewards delivered by the StrongBlock project.
The big breakthrough - NAAS
In the start of December, StrongBlock launched something called NAAS. This stands for Node as a Service, and with this new initiative, anyone can set up a node by clicking your mouse a couple of times. There is no need for technical insight, and all you need is some Strong tokens and some Ethereum to pay for gas fees and the first monthly fee on your node.
Do you know what has happened since then? The number of nodes has passed 2000, meaning that more than 1600 new nodes have been registered within the last two weeks. It also means that almost 20% of all running Ethereum nodes are rewarded through the StrongBlock project. Isn't that just awesome?
That isn't all... more blockchains to come!
Now, there is even more to this project. Right now, people can only create and run nodes for the Ethereum 1 network. But, within shortly, it will also become possible to run Bitcoin nodes, maybe Bitcoin cash nodes, and nodes for other blockchains. And once again, you are rewarded for the job with Strong tokens. In other words, you support and strengthen the blockchain, and you are rewarded for it.
There are now 2003 Ethereum nodes being a part of the StrongBlock project
A blockchain project easy to understand
I am not affiliated to StrongBlock in any way (except for the fact that I run a few nodes). But, this is finally a blockchain project that is easy to understand, and that adds real value to the industry. I believe the future is bright for this project, and considering that it should also give its holders and node owners a chance to earn a nice profit in the future, I found this to be a project worth checking out!
Do your own research, and have a wonderful day.
