We have a friendly cycling tradition in my area (in Samara, Russia), to gather almost every week during summertime, including springs and autumns if weather permits!
On July 23rd, 2020 we did it again, this time around on the Samara river.
Crossing a railroad on the way to the river.
There are lots of nice people involved in this movement, and we became friends with many already.
Some cyclists ride electric bikes.
Some ride mountain bikes, others prefer gravel, and some cyclocross (CX).
As usual, we cooked sausages in a campfire.
More guys and gals to show you.
All ages and religions love to stay active, healthy, and fit!
Some arrived by entire families.
I am happy to show you the gorgeous landscapes of the Samara river!
And also cityscapes of the Samara city.
The site we camped at is a kind of a cape on the river.
Do you know what plant this is?
In the background to the right is a railroad bridge across the Samara river.
There are some more decent snaps I am willing to show you.
Cyclists are coming in.
More bikers.
This is your host and author of the current post, myself Valerian Kadyshev.
The water in the river is blooming already.
Another view. We also call this river Samarka sometimes.
This is an activity I recorded during the ride, it has been uploaded onto Strava: https://www.strava.com/activities/3832213967
The cape and the camping site is located at: 53.169893, 50.112104 (GPS coordinates)
Watch this video to get an idea on how our cycling events usually conducted.
And that's it for today, Hivers!
Thank you very much for reading, voting, and supporting me! Moving full HIVE ahead.
