Hi, friends, how are you all doing? We’re just about to celebrate Mother’s Day at the center, and we’ll be doing it at a really lovely venue called La Cinemateca. It’s a more spacious and comfortable place, which really excites us; whenever the kids get to go somewhere different from what they’re used to, they have a new experience and get even more excited about things. On another note, my colleague and I were thinking about what small gift to give the mothers that wouldn’t be too expensive. Beyond the cost, we wanted the children to have the chance to give their moms a little something. Even though they didn’t do it directly and we covered the cost ourselves, we decided to make some little cards and print them; by the way, they were laser-printed and look spectacular. In addition to that, we bought heart-shaped lollipops. It was a small gesture we liked—something simple that each child could give to their mom, considering we have quite a large number of students. I plan to have the children present this gift at the end of the activity. The process was quite simple: we just used silicone, the cards, and the lollipops. We glued the image directly onto the heart of the lollipop, and the stick makes it easier for the children to hold. Doing something like this is always very rewarding for us, as we do it with love so that our children can feel the joy of giving their moms a gift on concert day.

Even though the kids didn’t do it themselves and we paid for it out of our own pockets, we decided to make some little cards and print them out; by the way, they were laser-printed and they look amazing.
