What happens when my 30 year old oak trees drops mass quantities of acorns and we have a very rainy December, January, February and March??
Lots and lots of baby oak trees, everywhere...including my rain gutters!
Oh and the 30 year old tree is visible in these photos; much taller than our roof!
Empty pots with great soil and leaves to cover the acorns... a very nice incubator!
Flower beds where the rain falls day after day and the leave keep the acorns warm so when it warms up - lots of new oaks!
I don't have any photos, but I've dug up more than 50 baby oaks from several of my flower beds!
Oh and there are still more that could sprout up any day now! :)
Meanwhile I have been doing a lot of planting on nice days when it isn't raining or too cold.
We have had a very cold April for the Dallas, Texas area!
Have a Blessed Day!
