My Journey begins
Hello hivians, my name is Olojakpoke Joel, but the good thing is, you don't need to bother yourself trying to pronounce my surname, because i am so so ok with the name "Joel". I am nicknamed Virtual bull, as you can see my hive username. Well i would give you a little insight on how i came about the nickname "Virtual bull", after telling you guys, that this is going to be my very first every post on hive, the last one was a reblog which i am still trying to figure out how to let go of it, lol, and plus the nickname wasn't given to me by anybody, but myself.
Thinking about it now, why don't i give you guys a little insight on my life's careers path, before getting to the career that brought about the name "Virtual bull".
As a little kid, i wanted to become so many things in life, the first being a pilot, which an illustration is given below;
I do really love the sound of planes, and the structure also, wishing one day i would get a chance to fly one...but all that dream came crushing down when i found a new love, been an engineer, as illustrated below;
Yeah guys, really sorry, couldn't get a better illustration, all that i know is that they work machines. I really wanted to be an engineer, not because i wanted to fiddle with machines, but the fact that i heard the pay was good, and yeah, i like money, like who doesn't, not exsisting.
This dream of becoming an engineer lasted until i took my waec and jamb, and discovered the courses i had to write, mehn, i couldn't, and knew i wouldn't keep up, because some where courses i never liked, there we have another dream going down the drain.
Really i am getting good at throwing dreams down the drain, lol. Well, I got into college to study computer science, the course is still going smoothly which you would have basically figured out now that i am still studying it...em, i love illustrations, so i might just show you another one below...
I love coding, which is like basically 95% of computer science, also graphic designing became a side attraction, which i made little or no money from, lol, i made nothing, just basically did it for fun, an illustration below...
Really that's just a lip design which i didn't design... So i believe i have spoken a lot now, and getting straight to the point at this point would be a great idea. Oh yeah, Virtual bull, so the "Bull" is an aggressive animal that takes all it's challenges head-on, and i love the "Bull", so yeah, the "Bull" in the nickname.
Now to talk about"Virtual", it's going to bring me up to a profession which i currently started loving and dedicating my whole essence to it. An illustration of an insight to what i mean below...
3d modelling is my current love, i model for a living hurray, been modelling for about two weeks now, i know some of you'll be expecting me to say 3 years+, lol. Well, 3d modelling has a lot of challenges like patience, etc, and that's where the "Bull" i love, or should i say in me comes out. Then talking about "Virtual", nothing i create is ever real, like how can it be, it's all a "Virtual reality", not a "Real reailty", if you know what i mean, so there we have my nickname "Virtual Bull".
So, i think i am done for this post...the next post would be my works, and the post after that, and the next, till for ever, so em...goodbye hivians, love you guys. I think i would end with the illustration below...
