Another week is wrapping up and we are grateful for the good things that have happened to us in the last couple of days and the not so good ones too, we are grateful. So, yesterday I went for market survey in furniture showrooms and workshops in a quest to get a set of sitting room chairs and the outcome was quite not as expected as prices of chairs have pretty increased as compared to how it used to be the last time I checked.
I got rates for a complete set of chairs that consists of a three seater, two seater, two single and a center table and also a two seater, two single chairs and a center table. On the long run, the prices for these two sets didn't really differ much. It's just about #20,000 difference between the two sets. The former is about #180,000 and the latter is about #160,000.
The chairs look good from the outside but it is a matter of time before the true quality will be showed. There are some chairs that gets spoilt within few months of purchase due to the inferior material used. They would package it well at the point of delivery and it will still be good for some months before the foam starts creating some sort of ditch in your buttocks when seat or the wood starts breaking and so on.
It takes a good furniture man that has a good reputation to create something iconic that would last the test of time.
