Hello everyone! So I was colouring today in my Zendoodle colouring book and I thought of taking some pictures and sharing it here. It is a work in progress as every page is filled with detailed patterns and it is time consuming to finish a page.
This is the drawing I chose to colour. I picked this because it has different type of patterns like swirls, flowers, leaves and bubbles as well. Most pages are usually focused on one type of pattern.
These looked like fruits to me. So I coloured them in warm colours. I started with these so I would know which colours to pick so the artwork doesn't get dominated by a single colour family.
I was done colouring all of them. The colour pencils on the right are the colours I used on every single one of these fruits.
This is the next part which is a leaf.
I coloured the lightest green on it first.
I have used multiple colours here like dark green, yellow, mustard along with medium and light shades of green. I wanted the leaf to look realistic. The technique is to build the colours gradually in layers and not jump to burnishing layer.
This is another part of the artwork all the way on top with the same pattern.
I actually didn't notice some of the smaller patterns with similar drawings. I did here and coloured them as well.
This is what I have done so far. It probably look so little but it took some time to get done and I couldn't finish it. I think it is because didn't want to colour for the sake of colouring. I wanted it to be good so I added more layers and shadows whole colouring.
Thank you for dropping by and I wish you a nice day ahead. It is past bedtime for me so I am going to sleep 😴
