Have you ever read a book and from the first 10 pages you say to yourself "this is a dumb book", but for some weird reason you still just have to complete it?
This is exactly that kind of book.
Ellen DeGeneres is a homosexual talk show host who has a thing for making everyone happy. Everyone who watches her show, that is.
First off, some chapters in this book are very unnecessary. I mean there's this chapter where she wrote just 1 word. There's another chapter titled 'The longest chapter' and all it talks about is why you should drop the book and do something else before you read the chapter. Turns out the chapter wasn't so long after all. YES! That's exactly how funny this book is.
Ellen being Ellen had to use a subtle and extremely comic approach towards pouring out herself in a book and sharing some really valuable life points.
So far, I've learnt to like myself in all my wit and charm, the value of being polite and paying attention to the needs of others.
She also drops some deep talks about being a deep thinker and loving cats.
This book has made me laugh, think and imagine. It's the kind of book you don't want to buy as a gift for a friend, trust me. They'd probably think you've gone mental.
And don't get me started on the 2 hilarious chapters she titled 'For the kids' (this has actual colouring pages) and 'For the teenagers' (here, she used the most absurd word abbreviations I have ever seen).
It's an amazing book, please get it, read it and love it!
