Sweets, candies and sweets.
Los dulces, golosinas, chucherias como lo quieran llamar, siempre han sido y serán el placer de todo niño, y porque no decirlo a los adultos también nos agrada mucho los dulces y mas si son hechos en casa. Desde muy chica me han gustado mucho los besitos de coco, Bocadillos de Plátanos, Mermelada de guayaba, también eran muy bien aprovechados los caramelos de café, las famosas chupetas de diferentes sabores, entre otras. Ahora bien me piden hablar de 3, que hayan sido mis favoritos de cuando niña, pues bien ahí vamos.
Sweets, candies, chucherias as you want to call it, have always been and will always be the pleasure of every child, and why not say it to adults we also like a lot of sweets and more if they are homemade. Since I was a little girl I have loved coconut kisses, banana sandwiches, guava jam, coffee candies, the famous lollipops of different flavors, among others, were also very well used. Now you ask me to talk about 3 of them, which were my favorites as a child, well here we go.

Este dulce es mi delicia, recuerdo que cuando niña mi abuela materna los preparaba, junto con otros dulces para tener algo para merendar, y yo siempre pendiente de los pedacitos de coco que sobraba para comerlos, luego después de la muerte de mi abuela, los preparaba mi madre y de ella obtuve ese gusto por ellos, tanto que llegue a prepararlos en casa para deleitarnos con mis hijos y acompañarlos con una buena bebida, siempre lo hacíamos a la hora de la merienda. Así como a mi, les gusta tambien a mi familia, soy de las que lo comen bien tostado para poder saborearlos mejor, cuando los llevo al horno siempre trato de dejarlos a un toque de quemado porque así es que me gustan mas.
This candy is my delight, I remember that as a child my maternal grandmother prepared them, along with other sweets to have something to snack, and I was always looking for the bits of coconut left over to eat them, then after the death of my grandmother, my mother prepared them and from her I got that taste for them, so much so that I got to prepare them at home to delight us with my children and accompany them with a good drink, we always did it at snack time. Just like me, my family also likes them, I am one of those who eat them well toasted to taste them better, when I take them to the oven I always try to leave them with a touch of burnt because I like them better that way.

Delicioso, y muy popular en mi infancia, se veía en todas lasa bodegas y no había niño que no degustaba este dulce.Yo en especial los compraba y los mantenía bien guardados y poco a poco me los iba comiendo sin que se dieran cuenta, para no tener que compartir, soy amante de los platanos y sera por eso que me gusta tanto este dulce. En estos tiempo ya no se ven, solo las nuevas versiones y para nada se le parece, esto si que era un dulce de verdad, verdad, lastima que no tuve la dicha de aprender a prepararlos porque no dejaria una merienda sin probarlos nuevamente.
Delicious, and very popular in my childhood, it was seen in all the bodegas and there was no child who did not taste this sweet, I especially bought them and kept them well stored and little by little I was eating them without them noticing, so they would not have to share, I am a banana lover and that is why I like this sweet so much. These days you don't see them anymore, only the new versions and they don't resemble them at all, this was a real candy, really, it's a pity I didn't have the chance to learn how to prepare them because I wouldn't leave a snack without trying them again.
Mermeladas de Guayaba.

Otra delicia mas en mi infancia, eran las maravillosas mermeladas de guayaba, este dulce me gustaba acompañarla con pan o galletas de soda, siempre fueron parte de mi selección en lo que a dulce se refiere. Me considero amante a estos dulces que son exquisiteces que hoy en dia son poco los establecimientos donde se puedan conseguir, recuerdo que teníamos una vecina que siempre nos la traía desde su sitio de trabajo, la esperábamos solo para recibir esa delicada mermelada y luego llegábamos a casa hastiados de tanto comerla, en la actualidad se consiguen en frascos y líquidas, no en panela como soliamos comerla.
Another delight in my childhood, were the wonderful guava jams, this sweet I liked to accompany it with bread or crackers, they were always part of my selection as far as sweet is concerned. I consider myself a lover of these sweets that are delicacies that today there are few establishments where you can get them, I remember we had a neighbor who always brought it to us from her workplace, we waited just to receive that delicate jam and then we came home tired of eating it so much, nowadays they are available in jars and liquid, not in panela as we used to eat it.
