Introducción
Hola Mayvileros y Hivers, feliz día en general para cuando tengas chance de leer este post.
La siguiente es una serie de blogs que se basará en mostrar y contar mi experiencia con el uso de distintas Aplicaciones para el celular en mi país, Venezuela.
¿Por qué hago estos post? Precisamente porque me gustaría ser parte de los que exponen aquello que mi profesor de Filosofía de la Comunicación de la UCAB (Universidad Católica Andrés Bello), Carlos Delgado Flores… llama "país 2.0" es decir, aquella Ciudadanía que se estaba gestando en el entorno digital.
Es importante reconocer que Venezuela, pese a su atraso industrial y tecnológico ha sabido mantenerse en las tendencias de innovación, no ahorita… desde siempre. Ya sea por los Venezolanos residentes en el país con una resiliencia sostenida ante las adversidades, ya sea por los que están en el exterior funcionando de inversores para un futuro distinto de la Nación.
Ahora bien… justamente, con intención de exponer tal panorama desde mis experiencias y mis impresiones es que escribo estas palabras…
La serie no está escrita en orden de mejor a menor ni mucho menos, sin embargo creo que para los más allegados a mí, saben que es mi top 5 de apps preferidas.
Episodio 1: La Wawa App
Obvio, no podía ser sino sobre la Wawa esta primera entrega, ya que en Twitter al parecer soy el chico wawa 🤭
Para todos los que vivimos en la ciudad de Caracas, estamos conscientes de lo caótico que puede ser movilizarse.
En mi ciudad, las dos formas más clásicas de andar es en metro o autobús, aunque en los últimos años el Mototaxi ha quedado ya en lo cotidiano.
La Wawa, a mi modo de verlo, es una alternativa segura, cómoda y eficaz de usar el transporte público.
Conocí la Wawa formalmente por un Querido Hermano que me dijo que la usaba sin problema. Aunque ya sabía de su existencia, de hecho, me había registrado, pero no había pedido el servicio, puesto que solo veía la opción de recarga con tarjeta de crédito (TDC)
Hasta que este Querido Hermano me comentó que había que recargar los tickets en su página Web.
Al ver esa opción, no dudé en un instante en recargar y empezar a aprenderme las rutas necesarias para mis salidas.
Por ser primerizo, mis primeros 2 viajes, me salieron gratis porque tenía que canjear un cupón de cortesía. Así que mi recarga me funcionaría para después 🙌
Para ser completamente honesto, te cambia todo el concepto de usar un autobús, ya que para empezar el aire acondicionado le da muchos puntos extra. Además de eso, el tener un asiento asegurado. Creo que eso es lo que cualquiera espera al usar un bus, pero no siempre sucede en el transporte convencional.
Tengo la fortuna que todos los puntos Wawa que uso me quedan incluso perfecto para donde me muevo, así que suelo ser un usuario fiel de la plataforma.
Recuerdo también que el año pasado durante la Caracas Blockchain Week, regalaron un cupón con $5 en viajes y me sirvieron muchísimo para esa semana de eventos y después ☺️
Todo me tenia entusiasmado de la app, sin contar además lo que han venido estando haciendo desde enero de este año 2023 que es una rebaja en la compra de tickets y que entre las 10 am y las 2pm el servicio cuesta $0.50 cuando normalmente cuesta $1.20 en su tarifa plana.
Sé que es un poco más costoso al transporte convencional, sin embargo, desde el punto de vista de seguridad y comodidad, vale bastante la pena. En mi caso por ejemplo, si tengo que hacer planes fuera de casa, trato de usar los horarios con descuento en la tarifa para ahorrar algo y siempre cuadro la agenda de la salida según la hora de mis viajes en la wawa.
Me gustaría que hubiese una forma dentro de la App que sea para recargar los tickets directamente sin tener que ir a la página web. O que agreguen más formas de pago para los tickets como por ejemplo, monedas estables como $HBD.
Cabe destacar, que además, la Wawa ofrece servicios extras a los circuitos para poder hacer paseos con amigos, la familia o con quien tengas una relación.
Ofrecen servicios para ir a conocer "La Colonia Tovar" (es decir la colonia Alemana en Venezuela) para ir a la Playa, e incluso hasta la "Hacienda Santa Teresa" que es la hacienda ronera más icónica del país.
Así pues, la Wawa fue poco a poco conquistando mi corazón con sus servicios. De hecho en estos días me enteré de una ruta nocturna que tienen y quedé emocionado, ojalá sea verdad y la dejen por siempre.
Mi mejor recomendación es que estén atentos a los cupones, a las rebajas que hacen para la compra de los tickets con descuento y a los horarios con rebaja en la tarifa, pero sobretodo, conozcan las rutas y circuitos…
Antes de que se me olvidé, debería invitar a todos esos Hivers de Valencia y Maracaibo a usarla o al menos a qué aprovechen los viajes de cortesía 😁😎🤭
Y a todos esos Hivers de Barranquilla - Colombia también, ya que hasta allá llegó la App 🤭
Ojalá pueda llegar a más rincones de Venezuela y aprendamos a generar desde la ciudadanía una forma distinta de transporte público. ¡Lo merecemos! ⚜️
¡Ah! Y por si te lo preguntabas tilín, nooo este no es un post pagado por la Wawa ni mucho menos ojalá 😂
Para ir cerrando un poco… ¿Qué ciudadanía hay en el entorno digital? Una que está aprendiendo a usar la tecnología incluso hasta para trasladarse.

Hello Mayvileros and Hivers, happy day in general for when you have a chance to read this post.
The following is a series of blogs that will be based on showing and telling my experience with the use of different cell phone applications in my country, Venezuela.
Why do I do these posts? Precisely because I would like to be part of those who expose what my professor of Philosophy of Communication at UCAB (Universidad Católica Andrés Bello), Carlos Delgado Flores... calls "country 2.0" that is, that Citizenship that was emerging in the digital environment.
It is important to recognize that Venezuela, despite its industrial and technological backwardness, has been able to keep up with innovation trends, not just now... since always. Either by Venezuelans living in the country with a sustained resilience in the face of adversities, or by those who are abroad working as investors for a different future of the Nation.
Now then... it is precisely with the intention of exposing such panorama from my experiences and my impressions that I write these words...
The series is not written in order from best to least, but I think that for those closest to me, they know that it is my top 5 favorite apps.
Episode 1: The Wawa App.
Obviously, it couldn't be anything but about the Wawa this first installment, since on Twitter apparently I'm the wawa guy 🤭.
For all of us who live in the city of Caracas, we are aware of how chaotic it can be to get around.
In my city, the two most classic ways to get around is by metro or bus, although in the last few years the Mototaxi has become an everyday thing.
The Wawa, in my opinion, is a safe, comfortable and efficient alternative to use public transportation.
I was formally introduced to the Wawa by a Dear Brother who told me that he used it without any problem. Although I already knew of its existence, in fact, I had registered, but I had not requested the service, since I only saw the option of recharging by credit card (TDC).
Until this Dear Brother told me that I had to recharge the tickets on their website.
When I saw that option, I did not hesitate in an instant to recharge and start learning the necessary routes for my outings.
Being a first timer, my first 2 trips were free because I had to redeem a complimentary coupon. So my recharge would work for me for later 🙌.
To be completely honest, it changes your whole concept of using a bus, as for starters the air conditioning gives you a lot of extra points. On top of that, having a secured seat. I think that's what anyone expects when using a bus, but it doesn't always happen in conventional transportation.
I am fortunate that all the Wawa points I use fit me even perfect for where I move, so I tend to be a loyal user of the platform.
I also remember that last year during the Caracas Blockchain Week, they gave away a coupon with $5 in travel and it was very useful for that week of events and afterwards ☺️.
Everything had me excited about the app, not to mention what they have been doing since January of this year 2023 which is a rebate on the purchase of tickets and that between 10am and 2pm the service costs $0.50 when it normally costs $1.20 on their flat rate.
I know it is a bit more expensive to conventional transportation, however, from a safety and convenience standpoint, it is quite worth it. In my case for example, if I have to make plans away from home, I try to use the discounted fare times to save some and I always chart the departure schedule according to the time of my trips on the wawa.
I wish there was a way within the App that is to recharge tickets directly without having to go to the website. Or that they add more ways to pay for tickets such as stable currencies like $HBD.
It is worth noting that the Wawa also offers extra services to the circuits in order to make rides with friends, family or whoever you have a relationship with.
They offer services to visit "La Colonia Tovar" (the German colony in Venezuela) to go to the beach, and even to the "Hacienda Santa Teresa" which is the most iconic rum hacienda in the country.
So, the Wawa gradually conquered my heart with its services. In fact these days I found out about a night route that they have and I was thrilled, I hope it is true and they leave it forever.
My best recommendation is to be attentive to the coupons, to the discounts that they make for the purchase of discounted tickets and to the schedules with a discount in the rate, but above all, know the routes and circuits...
Before I forget, I should invite all those Hivers from Valencia and Maracaibo to use it or at least to take advantage of the complimentary trips 😁😎🤭.
And to all those Hivers from Barranquilla - Colombia as well, since the App reached there 🤭.
Hopefully it can reach more corners of Venezuela and we learn to generate a different form of public transportation from the citizenship. We deserve it! ⚜️
Ah! and in case you were wondering, nooo this is not a post paid by the Wawa, I wish it was 😂.
Just to close a bit... What citizenship is there in the digital environment? One that is learning to use technology even to move.
