Snabby. Also known as Mr. Poppers. I can't remember what her original name was. She's old. She doesn't care.
Princess Pig. Archduke. Archduke Peeeeeeg. A million years ago her name was Grizelda. All fine names for a mystical flat-faced creature that weighs less than three pounds.
Little old ladies like these like to lay on soft things, but little old ladies like these like to piss on soft things, too. So lounging on the guest bed was a special treat that demanded constant supervision.
Fortunately for the little old ladies, I opened the blinds and let in the sun, and supervised them for a good long stretch through the lens of my camera.
My cousin and his long term girlfriend let me stay at their house for free every time I come down, which isn't such a big deal since I'm family, but is a big deal since it saves me a buttload of money and I know utilities in San Diego aren't cheap. Especially not water. I shower and I flush a few poops each day when I'm there, so the least I can do is hook them up with some classy shots of these super sweet women who pissed on the couch so much they made it disappear.
When their bed time is over I scoop them up, one in each arm, and they both grab onto whatever they can with their sticky paws and try to take the bedding with them as I carry them out of the room. It's a fun game. Sometimes Snabby manages to grab blankets with her feet. Monkey kitty.
Once I let Princess Pig sleep in the room all night with me and Pilot. Aside from the fear that she might wet the bed, it was really quite pleasant sleeping in a purring hat.
I also snagged a nice portrait of this kid in the few seconds she managed to stay still. Dot, aka Peter, aka Pumpkin Skeeter, Skeeter, Xioung-Xioung, and a handful of other names I can't recall right now.
If haven't figured it out yet, eccentric creativity is a family trait.
Skeeter's a good kid. Pilot pretends not to like her but plays with her when he thinks I'm not watching.
