Hail to the Hive!

Whenever I see one of these guys in Egypt I can’t help but smile. They’re cool on so many levels. Amazing desert transportation, tourist attraction and lets face it a face so good they can advertise cigarettes!

They are everywhere as well and it really isn’t unusual to see them on the beach, in the city, in the desert or by the pyramids.

And wherever they are they look right at hime, as if they were meant to be there.

So,etimes they look at you and it’s as if they’ve just told you a joke and are waiting to see if you react to the punchline.

And other times they just look downright uninterested in anything that maybe happening around them.

They are pretty chill.

So today as I lay on my hotel bed flicking through the hundreds of shots I have I thought they deserved a post to themselves but I couldn’t decide exactly how to present them.

And as I also couldn’t decide between colour and black and white there was only one thing for it.

Somhere I am. And as usual when I post in this community I throw in a color splash pic into the mix to see how it works.

The black and whites always seem to do so well in this environment as they evoke the timelessness of the desert and antiquity.

But each has their merits so let me know in the comments below ⬇️ 👇 what you think works best and why you like it.

I’m going to miss Egypt, it has been awesome.

It may be timeless but we are running out of time. Which is a shame as I could happily spend a year or more wandering around this amazingly beautiful and chaotic country.
