Good evening everyone π. How are you all doing today? Today I will love to discuss about the disadvantages of not cleaning our environments everyday.
When we fail to clean our surroundings on a daily basis, we open the door to a lot of trouble that slowly but significantly damages our environment over time. Before we know it, the place is covered in dust, food scraps from before, plastic waste, and dirt. A dirty environment is like an invitation card to sickness.
Flies buzz around uncovered waste, mosquitoes breed in stagnant water, and rats move freely around garbage dumps. These creatures carry diseases like dysentery, malaria, cholera, and typhoid that can spread quickly in unclean environments. Apart from sickness, the air also begins to smell.
When things rot and decay in the open, the stench can make it hard for people to even breathe properly. People who have asthma or breathing problems can suffer more. Flooding is another issue that comes with dirt. When gutters and drains are blocked with plastics, sand, and refuse, rainwater cannot flow. It starts to gather around homes, schools, and markets, making it hard to move around. Sometimes it even damages roads and buildings.
Living in a filthy environment has an emotional impact. Itβs hard to feel proud or peaceful in a place that looks like a dumping ground. Children grow up thinking it's normal to live in mess, and visitors feel uncomfortable. Worse still, when we donβt clean our surroundings, it harms the animals and plants that live around us. Dirty water can kill fishes, and smoke from burning waste can pollute the sky.
Not cleaning our environment daily may feel like a small thing, but it slowly takes away our health, peace, and dignity. Cleanliness is not just about beauty, it is about safety, pride, and showing love to the place we call home.
