Hi friends it's been a while, hope you had a wonderful rest last night. Today I did my cleaning exercise but before I show you some pictures let me talk small about malaria.
Malaria is a human disease that is caused by sporozoan parasites in the red blood cells. These parasites are introduced into the human bloodstream through the bite of a female Anopheles mosquito. The parasites find their way into the infected person's liver cells where they multiply. When a liver cells ruptures or tears apart, it releases the parasites which then invades the infected person's red blood cells. If this invasion and rupture continues, the infected individual usually displays symptoms of malaria.
The following are symptoms of malaria
- High temperature also called fever
- Headache
- Shaking chills or shivering
- Sweats
- Muscle aches
- Fatigue or stress
- Nausea (stomach distress)
- Vomiting and
- Diarrhea.
To protect ourselves from malaria we need to:
- Use a mosquito net that is treated with insecticide and is free of any tears or holes. Also ensure the net is sucked completely under the mattress.
- Spray insecticide in our home.
- Install screens or use nets on doors and windows.
- If possible, using air conditioners or fan can be helpful because it might discourage mosquitoes from settling inside your room.
- Avoid bushy areas where mosquitoes swarm and stagnant water or gutters where they breed.
- And most importantly, try get a proper treatment if infected.
That is why I always strive to keep my environment clean to help protect myself and my family from diseases like malaria. Below are pictures from my cleaning activity for today.
Clean our planet, save our planet, save humanity. Special thanks to:
