Hello great farmers💖
This evening I visited my dad's plantain and banana farm to check up on the plantain, only to discover that the dry season has really affected the plantain plant on the negative side.
I have observed that all the fruit from the plantain and banana are very tiny and scanty compared to the rainy season. I was surprised it's actually my first time taking notice of these changes. Well, I won't really blame myself as a young farmer what do you expect lolz.
Plantain and banana is one of my family's favorite meals. That's why we plant a lot of it and check up on it. It's actually my duty since I now have an interest in farming. You can make research personal to see the benefits of eating plantain. What I was taught in school was that it is a food containing iron which is good for the body.
Plantain is one of the common foods eaten by Africans and banana our best fruit trust me we have the best food here. And seeing one of my favorite food plants in this condition is something that bothers my heart and has inspired me to write about it, Because
As a family we don't only rely on this plantain and banana as our source of food but sometimes we also sell it out to get money,it serves a huge financial support for us.
You can imagine seeing your plants in such a condition, something worth value dying and you can't help out because right now there is nothing I can do to help out, if it was just a small plant like pepper or vegetables I would have applied irrigation on daily basis till it comes back to life but this plantains are bigger plant and are much I won't be able to irritate them on daily basis. It pains me to see the in this condition and can't help.
