Hello everyone, it a beautiful morning over here, I'm sending you greetings from #Nigeria. And it is my pleasure to be here to share with you my recent progress in farming activity.
Last week,my dad and I decided to clear the space in my compound so we can cultivate some crops. Engaging in farming activity is really helpful, especially in times like this we are having so many challenges with the new naira note circulation, so it is difficult to buy and sell goods but we can't stop ourselves from eating.
So having a little farm like this can really be of helpful to anyone irrespective of the kind of work you are doing, being a farmer is not a bad idea at all , you don't need to have a big land to participate in farming but the little space you have you can utilize it for your good.
I have grown up to like agriculture even if it is not a full time job but for my family's sustainability. We clear the little space for the vegetable garden. Vegetables are something that is really important for every home. It's a common vegetable we eat here in Nigeria, it can be used for soup recipes, for stew and for sauce to spice it up.
The first thing we did was to cut the vegetable bulk and bring out the seeds and sun it.
Then we later clear the space for it by parking out the old woods and leaves.
Then we till the soil and put the seeds three per hole and we cover it with sand.
As a young farmer my main goal for now is not money but rather I'm working hard to make way to reduce food scarcity. Having something like vegetables can go a long way to help my mum. At least she can save the money that would have been used for the vegetable for something else.
Benefits of eating vegetable.
