Hello, my fellow farmers❣️
Good morning to you all, it's the season of Christmas and Happy New year to in advance I believe this season is not a season but a feeling for you. I have been having a wonderful time over here still in the season of merry. I visited my grandma in the village to spend my holiday with her, and this evening we went to the farm to set fire and I will love to share my experience with you 😘 stay connected.
It the season for Early planting over here in #Nigeria and we do take advantage of this harmattan season where everything is dry to clear our bush and set it ablaze and it will burn down every single thing, the first thing we do is to clear the farm lands, since it a big and thick one my grandma paid some boys to help her clear it, after clearing we allowed it to stay for some days and then we go to watch out firewood and pack them up to the house, after selecting the available firewood, we then set the farm on fire so it can burn down all the little Sticks and leaves so the land will be free for planting.
Setting fire on your farm one needs to be careful so the fire doesn't traspase to the neighborhood farm, so we need to stay tuned to guide the fire direction with all diligence. And luckily for us it was a success, we were able to burn down everything with the fire affecting the next farmland. My grandma was really happy that I came to help her out and me too I was glad to have witnessed that,I was a privilege for me to learn because here in the cities we don't burn our farm, we just clear it up, pack the unwanted weeds and then we make planting, I think it's because we don't have thick bushes and the little space we have we normally used it almost every year, so no place where big trees can grow
This was how I spent my evening, a lot of things were learnt, I really appreciate my grandma for creating the opportunity.
I will be sharing the planting details very soon, thanks for reading my post. Please feel free to comment on the comment box upvote and do well to stop by next time for more update thanks.
