It another beautiful day and the start of a productive planting season.
Some people might be wondering why am I harvesting Pepper now when others are still planting. Well it is not magic, it just depends on the specie. Although this was not planned I discovered that the specie of pepper I planted blooms two times before it dies.
It was a friend of mine that gave me these seedlings last year and i decided to try them. It is unfortunate that i dont know the particular specie, but it was worth planting.
Even though during the second blooming of the pepper, the number and the size of the pepper where little bit smaller than the first blooming, I was still avle to harvest a good number of pepper which can be enough for a meal or two.
One good thing about rhis specie was that it can survive many weather conditions. I planted it during the rainy season of last. It survived the long dry season without any external irrigation amd still waa able to produce seeds during this new planting season. This is unlike the other pepper i have been cultivating that withers after it blooms once.
I think say that farmers should cultivate more of these species. I am still researching to fing out these specie of pepper 🌶️. If you know it feel free to share in the comments the name and how to source for it.
