A place called a tropical country, where you can find a lot of coconut trees planted. Did you know that some of us use coconuts which are means for earnings?
In this extremely difficult time, people find it very hard to earn money and even impossible to find a job so as we face these trials today I'm gonna show you how we deal with hardship.
Meet Eduardo, an ordinary man that lives with his family in a province. his 62 years old already and can't find a decent job because of his poor education attainment and now because of his age but even though he didn't finish any degree he can manage how to deal with life, he accepts any kind of works he can to feed his family. He does fishing, carpentry and especially farming.
In this picture, he is removing the coconut meat/kernel from the shell to make Copra. Before he accomplished that much coconut he patiently waiting for children to bring him coconut which was falling from the tree by the strong winds he bought it from them for 2 pesos (0.041$) to 5 pesos (0.10$) or he's wife will do it, as she rooms around the Lands pick up some falling coconuts. Probably landowners authorize you to take as much-falling coconut as long as you haven't taken it from the tree intentionally.
Now for the procedure
You'll need an > axe and a steal carve like a spoon for wiping out the flesh.
once it's done you can now dry your coconut kernels.
*you can do it by sun-dried or smoked, but we don't have the tools for smoking he so preferred sun-dried and it's more easy and convenient whereas smoke you'll need to have woods for smoking and it's very hot when you're doing it.
*after two days or even one day and a half would be good enough to dry them.
Now it's ready! He can now sell it to the buyers for 28 pesos (0.58$)per one kilo but sometimes prices may increase or even decreases depending on the demands.
He can now buy some food for the family need 🙂
That's how we earn! Very simple but yet in a decent way.
Take note that we don't only just benefited from the meat, we also use the coconut husk for cleaning purposes and even for gardening.
