Hello HIVE friends in this community, greetings to all of us. It looks like it would be fun if tonight I shared a story with all of you in this community. Does your country have catfish species like the ones in my documentary photo? Catfish are fish that live in fresh water, we usually feed these catfish using animal feed in the form of pellets. The age of my catfish which are ready to harvest is 4 months. And I prefer freshwater fish compared to sea fish because when on the market freshwater fish are always sold alive, while sea fish will be sold dead and I won't know how long the sea fish has been dead. Sometimes when I consume it, the taste of sea fish itches on my tongue. It's the opposite of freshwater fish which is still fresh and has a sweet taste.
And actually the age of 4 months is very old because actually the right age for catfish that are ready to be harvested and then sold on the market is 2, 5 months and 3 months. Because if it is more than that, consumers no longer want to buy the catfish because the size is too big. Then the taste of the catfish meat was no longer sweet but had an earthy smell. I keep the catfish that I fish in an earthen pond and when I fish like now it is the rainy season so the water looks like milk coffee.
Apart from fish pellets to feed catfish, I also use vegetables such as kale as additional fish feed. This is only done occasionally so that the fish do not get bored or fed up with pellet food.
Even though the catfish in my hand is a little bigger than it should be, because I consume this catfish myself, I will only fish for it and I only need 1-2 catfish for me to fry and eat for dinner. Later. And don't worry, even though my catfish pond has water that is like milk, the taste produced by the catfish doesn't smell like earth. And to fish for catfish, I only feed it a little with rice or worms that I look for around my house by digging a little in the ground.
So my question is, is there this catfish in your country? If so, what is the name of this fish in your country, and what is its price on the market currently? and do you prefer freshwater fish or sea fish? Greetings from Tomidiwirja Indonesia
