I used to use Blocktrades for my crypto trading. I originally needed it for Steemit because BT removed Steem/SBD from their site.
I used BT for Hive/HBD.
Then BT suspended their services
Ionomy was great at first. Minus the high BTC fees, it was great.
Recently, I've been having issues with them
I did some trades that took forever to go to my Coinbase around February.
Then I sent some HBD to the platform and it never went through. Recently. Not even the deposit faded to show it's pending.
They have no customer support, where you can chat with someone in real time, give them the info they need for your inquiry, etc.
They never answer their support emails. I sent an email when my BTC withdrawal was stuck, no answer.
Someone sent me a blog post where another user lost their coins and said others lost money.
The comments had a lot of people agreeing Ionomy is back and encouraged Hive/Peaked to withdraw their support or something.
If people are reporting Ion is not sending their deposits and not addressing the issue. Even closing down trades until you fix it etc
I feel the team is complicit,
Maybe the fees will be lower on simple swap and I'd have more money.
Despite my earnings dipping, one of the reasons it was hard was due to Ion's high fees.
one time, I had 70 dollars. and the fees put me down to 30.
Also, SS tells you the minimum amount of Hive/Steem you need to avoid high fees
Ion could have been transparent that an amount below a certain mark would have higher fees.
Maybe Ion was a good site, the old owner retired and a new guy took over and made the site a train wreck. I don't know for sure.
This is why I say don't put your eggs in one basket.
If you earn better on Hive than on YouTube. KEEP YOUTUBE. You can combine the money and also have a backup in case you run into problems. Youtube has its issues at least you can get through to them, and get info if something goes wrong. If you lose monetization, search for other creators who had the same issue and they will likely have a fix. That is how I got my monetization back on Facebook. I was able to search for it on YouTube and follow the creator's advice.
Hive is a BACKUP for YouTube. Say your video got blocked for whatever reason, re-upload it to threespeak, etc
I could use the extra support while I build back what I lost due to Ion.
