Let me tell you are story of Deshauna the first soldier to win miss USA which were told by her
She started a day when a woman see her and ask her were you born in this country,she answered I wqs born in the country and then she says do you have any kids ?, She said no ,I don't have any kids
She ask if she was married,and then she answered no mam am not married ,she ask how old are you?,she said 19,may I help you with something?, The woman said you are the most beautiful woman I have seen and Deshauna said oh thank you
And then the woman said I think you could be the next miss USA and she stare at her in a pure disgust and said pageant?,you are telling me pageant like Sandra Bullock,Ms congeniality pageant,you think I should compete in a pageant
I'm in the Amy okay ,we don't do pageant in the army,that what deshauna reply,the woman then ask her can you meet me at the Starbucks , apparently she was pretty open minded 19year old because she actually agreed to meet her the very next day
The next day she bought this foot tall stack of pageant books and proceed to convince her to enter into a state pageant,so three months later she compete her first pageant and she lose
She go back the second year , compete in the state pageant,she lose,go back the third year , compete in the state pageant and lose ,go back the fourth year and compete in the state pageant and she lose
She go back the fifth year ,and compete the same pageant and she lose but guess what ?,she go back the sixth year , guess what happens? She still lose
The call the woman on her phone and said you told me ,I could be the next miss USA and then she says Deshauna keep working ,keep working , don't quite ,keep going back and In June of 2015 ,the woman passed away from leukemia
Six month later in December 2015 she won Miss district of Columbia USA and six months after that in June of 2016 she became the first soldier to win Miss USA
At times our purpose drops in our laps as if the heaven threw it by accident ,I ask only one thing of you all ,after you read this post ,do not fear failure but please terrified of regret ,as giving up is the birth of regret , after you read this post
You will receive 100 doors shut slammed in your face ,you will sit in 100 different interviews and you will not get job or telling you ,thanks you for your application but we regret to inform you that we've chosen a different candidate for this job
You will have 100 moments,that will be filled with someone telling you no ,I love a good no ,please tell me no , telling me no's is like adding fuel to a fire ,that is now set blaze because of your single no ,the reality of life s that we will all hear more no's than we hear yeses and we will fail a lot and I mean a whole lot
but what I ask of you today ,is not to take no for an answer , don't be afraid of no's ,be afraid of the possibility of a yes ,that you have prematurely destroyed because you decide to quit before the clock strike 12
I love additional reasons to work harder ,please give me the a reason,so today I challenge you to fight,to work ,to not stop here ,to believe so heavily in your aspiration,that you too will not fear the word no but Instead,you will use to welcome it
