We humans are amazingly created, after all. most of us have the ability to distinguish shades of different colors and even shades of different smells.
Yes, our sense of smell is not as well developed as in many animals, which are able to catch it at a great distance from the source of the smell and understand the exact direction to its source.
But, this is even good in some circumstances, for example, in the conditions of the war that Russia unleashed against Ukraine.
Bloody, cruel, cynical and vile, a war without honor and dignity, without respect for international rules, without honor and compassion, as well as the one who started it.
Yes, everything that surrounds us has its own unique smell, including war.
You can argue with me, but every object has its own smell.
Do you remember how a new car smells, or a bicycle, how watercolors or oil paints smell, how steel and iron, plastic and wood smell differently, paper in a book sheet and banknote paper, a special smell of roadside dust and the smell of sea sand, food, combustible substances. animals and plants, I won’t list you and me, lol.
So the war has its own smell, especially the war with Russia.
The smell may vary depending on the distance from the war zone, but this is definitely the smell of war.
Are you dreaming?
Long before Russia attacked Ukraine, the poet. classic
Alexander Pushkin in his poem "Ruslan and Lyudmila" accurately indicated that Russia has a very characteristic smell, a special smell, "Here is the Russian spirit, here it smells of Russia."
But what is that smell?
And, in order to answer this question, let's turn to another classic poet, Mikhail Lermontov.
In his lines, he explained to the whole world what the main smell of Russia is and what caused it in the first place: "Farewell, unwashed Russia."
Time has passed, some smells have changed, I'm talking about Russia, to the smell of sweat and uncleaned latrines, to the stench of latrines added the smell of death, the smell of fires, the smell of fear, the smell, the smell of blood and suffering, the smell of gunpowder and jet fuel and, the smell of paraffin , yes, all this, they, the Russians, brought with them to Ukraine.
Far from the line of the front, fortunately, we do not smell some of the smells of war, only the smell of burning, transformer oil, after cruise missiles hit the transformers, and the smell of paraffin candles, as a result of the fact that the electricity industry was bombed by Russia.
So the Russian world is trying to convince the world that we are all brothers and we are all Russian, lol.
Even the two poets listed above, Pushkin and Lermontov, whom the Russians call Russian poets, were never Russian, Pushkin is a descendant of the Moor, of African blood, and Lermontov is considered to be of Scottish and Armenian blood, in no way, they are not Russian.
This is how to call the Russian Depardieu, who decided to escape taxes from France to Russia, or, another unique one, Steven Seagal, who is delighted with the smell of the Russian world, and he really likes what is happening in Ukraine, a film with their participation , I added to my blacklist.
Better, I will look at a burning candle, it is more creative for the mind and soul.
All the above smells of war overshadowed other smells.
For example, I really hope when. again, I will start to smell the herbs.
You know, the desire to quickly get from point A to point B, before the start of the air raid alert, does not even let you feel the strong aroma of green thuja and juniper.
You know, the desire to quickly get from point A to point B, before the start of the air raid alert, does not even let you feel the strong aroma of green thuja and juniper.
Most of the smells fell out of the imaginary circle.
The smell of paraffin, probably, forever ingrained into the walls and ceiling of our apartment, it soaked furniture and clothes, but I don’t mind this smell if other smells of war disappear from our planet, the smell of paraffin is not the worst smell in the world.
