Hello good evening everyone, today I share with you one of the saddest story in the bible and this is what I captioned I need you, don't move back.
This story is really about Uriah, a soldier for Israel in David's time. His attributes as a soldier was quite remarkable. His background was traced to be a Hittite but was very selfless person indeed.
David went in for his wife whiles on the battlefield fighting for the nation.
Well I'm not really interested in what David did but what this man Uriah did after he had the chance to come home and dine or have time with his wife. He really had great opportunity to be save from the ongoing battle and enjoy life with his family.
David gave him an opportunity but trust not every opportunity must be accepted. Some is just to lure us into a trap, just as Sampson was deceived by Delilah. Uriah upon all the opportunities he had to returned back home, he choose to be with his friends instead, He said how can I go and meet my wife whiles my fellow soldiers are on the battle field fighting. David only knew what he was up to. He gave him devilish opportunity and he turned it down,
Now there came a twist of the story, David became furious and ordered Uriah to be killed at the war front.
He instructed that Uriah should be left alone when the enemies come over, and this is where I had problem with the soldiers at the war front. Uriah who were at some point thinking about his friends, was denied by this same friends. Instead of sanding behind him at the war front, they left him alone to die, O how sad it is...
Well I'm not a military's man, but One thing I no is, soldiers has one common goal and a mission. They win together just as Christian.
This man who dedicated his life for his brothers was betrayed by them. He showed love towards them but they left him when he needed them to stay behind him.
This story has same connection with Joseph and his brother, Jesus and what he did for the world.
Jesus Christ Love the world and gave his life for us, but the world received him with hate.
Sometimes, we think these stories are just a mere story but deep inside our life, that is what is happening to most of us. Some people have great heart and a good one indeed, but what they get in return is hatred.
I believe when we stay together as brothers, we will have a very peaceful world to live. let us practice the kind of Love, Joseph, Uriah, Jesus Christ and many great characters in the bible practiced and we will have a very peaceful world to live in.
