Hello friends good evening, trust and believe we are all doing extremely well. The truth of the matter is we are all seeking for something in life. This so called something has never been discovered because we keep on discovering all day long.
So what is it that we are seeking for? Is it Success, Success in-terms of wealth, power, status or what.
Well Let me use this Story in the Bible to let you know our greatest want in this life.
Message song.
Like the woman at the well, I was seeking for things that could not satisfy And then I heard my Savior speaking, Draw from My well That Never shall run Dry.
Refrain.
Fill my cup, Lord, I lift it up, Lord, come and quench this thirsting of my soul, Bread of Heaven< feed me till I want no more, Fill my Cup, fill it up and make whole.
This is in SDAH 493
It summarizes the whole chapter of John 4,
Jesus upon sailing through Samaria rest by Jacob's well, He was wearied with his journey, sat and was waiting for someone to come so he can beg for water from the well.
And there cometh a woman, who for once was coming to get what was important to her. It was nearing noon per Bible commentaries, so It could be She had gotten visitors, and she need water for her visitors, or probably something else, perhaps nothing was specified just to stressed on the uses of water in our various homes.
I'm not here to narrate the whole story as most of us can relate, however we can skipped this scene for anything, Jesus been All knowing saw a sinner in her and needs to feed her with His wonderful words of hope.
After Jesus engaging this woman and finally wining her for the gospel, The bible says, and she left Her pot and Went forth to proclaim the gospel to the city..
This was a woman who was coming to get the most important needs as at that, but nothing was so important after meeting Jesus Christ.
Well, I might not know, what we are seeking for, But nothing is too important than Jesus, The Bible says, Seek ye the kingdom of heaven First and all things shall be added unto us, The word Here is ALL Things, wealth, fame, power, what, you name it.
We might be engaging our minds with great stuffs, of course they are equally important and Bible doesn't condemn success or speak against, But Success comes from above not our works, Maybe we might be successful in our own ways, but what does it mean to gain or have everything in this world and not have Jesus Christ. Success is good but becomes nothing when we don't know Jesus Christ.
Maybe you might read heard about this message over and over again, but if we are to pretend this is the first time we are hearing it and allow the message to move us, we will surely become New.
We can Prepare horses for Battle, But Victory comes from The Lord God.
Let's learn to cast everything upon Him and make Him our number 1 priority so even if we die, we die we hope with our accomplishment. It will fade off, But Having or Knowing Jesus Christ Will bring ever eternal. This woman who was once a sinner got saved, so can we also.
May The good Lord help us to recognize our Priority on Earth. Goodnight and have a fruitful weekends
