To build equanimity, you need to have met your base needs. Finding yourself without the calmness of mind, it may mean you need to take a nap.
Perhaps you're hungry? Go get a snack. Eat something healthy...or screw that! Get a freak'n candy bar!!! I find that sour gummies are just as amazing as peanut M&M's. They solve my cravings...I have a 25cent box of Mike & Ike's right in front of me as I type this. Feeling moody-get something to eat.
I know I have needed to pee at times and no one was going to get in my way. You can't be calm or collect when your organs are screaming at you to be emptied! Finding yourself easily upset? Go empty your bowels/bladder. Some have claimed that it's as awesome as an orgasm...I don't understand those people, but it is pretty awesome!

Equanimity is achieving a mental calmness or being even tempered. If you can't use these 4 methods to calm your nerves to reach equanimity, you're just not human...oh...I guess you could always play with a dog!
