We're all responsible for the atmosphere in this community. Every single person has the ability to raise tensions or soothe the crowd. It comes from our words and responses to what has been shared.
Over the past few weeks, there have been multiple "atmosphere-altering" episodes that members of the community have witnessed or been involved with.
I've found them to be illuminating in some respects. They've provided me with learning opportunities for myself while also giving insights into the way others handle these altercations.
I've spent the past two days recapping the events in a detached and nonbiased way (as much as I could muster), making sure to highlight the main points which I found relevant.
Fortunately, for any of you who couldn't give a shit about this, I've decided against posting an intricate blow-by-blow account of what occurred. For a few reasons;
- I almost bored myself to sleep reading over the nonbiased section of the writing
- I don't want a reputation for wrecking an accounts credibility
- I don't want it to affect the positive atmosphere here in the community
Going into the specifics of what occurred over the past few weeks isn't going to help anything other than providing context, but I do want to find a way to address some points made by the account regenerette in a constructive way.
I'm raising these in the form of a post so that the community can share any legitimate concerns alongside regenerette.
I'd prefer if this didn't erupt into another episode like before. I am looking for solid points about some statements made and the opportunity to discuss them rationally and reasonably.
Within the comments of this post shared by the account regenerette, it's stated twice;
Yes, I have exposed 1% of everything there is about the mechanics and dynamics of this place.
Further measures for this can be taken. I wanted to leave this virtually done. But if this continues I will put everyone in the same spot and bring into the light what has really happened. As I stated: This is only 1% of what happened with this story here in POB.
Let us ignore the 1% of claims which have already been brought up and find a constructive way to open up discussion for the other 99%.
I'm asking this because I am not the only person here who is putting time into the platform and if there are genuine concerns of this magnitude then I believe they should be addressed.
I'm declining payouts for this post because there were issues raised in a previous publication involving tokenizing on the account. I just wanted to make sure that isn't perceived as the case for this post and it's seen as an opportunity to address the problems experienced.
I've also added this as a WOTW post because it seems like a practical way to demonstrate how the atmosphere of the platform can be altered in a positive or negative way.
I hope a line can be drawn in the sand and any issues can be ironed out so the platform can succeed.
