Lately, i've come across a number of suspicious authors on POB. They write really well for the most part but some sentences and word choices are bizarre to say the least.
Not going to name names on this one but I'd urge the community to be on the look out because they're spamming and scamming their way to a lot of tokens and then dumping them. Double whammy!
Step 1: Find an article you like
For demo purposes, i'm going to use this article from wikiHow: 5 Ways to Get Rich
"Wealth: nearly everyone wants it, but few people actually know what they need to do in order to get it. Becoming rich takes a combination of luck, skill, and patience. To get rich, you'll need to set yourself on a path that leads to a monetarily enriching career, then handle the money you earn wisely by investing it, saving it, and reducing your living expenses. Getting rich isn't easy, but with a little bit of perseverance and skillful decision making, it's definitely possible."
Sounds good...motivational, well written, not personal at all also.
Step 2: Stick it in the plagiarism checker
Who knows? If we're lucky, maybe this post hasn't even been index by the plagiarism checker yet. Looks like this one has already been indexed. Sad.
Step 3: Hit the Rewrite Plagiarized Content button at the bottom
"Wealth: nearly everyone wants it, but few people actually know what they have to try to to so as to urge it. Becoming rich takes a mixture of luck, skill, and patience. Looks pretty much the same with a couple of words/phrases changed. If you read it quickly, it seems fine, but read it again and you'll notice certain words out of place. In this case, the first and last lines look off.

Step 4: Check for plagiarism again
A few simple clicks and you now have a 75% unique article. Run it through the rephrase or re-write tool and you will get a 100% unique article. The really crazy thing is that the WikiHow article doesn't even turn up as a Google hit.
You can even use a number of other free re-writing tools out there to get 100% unique content on your first go.
Well, this seems to be the modus operandi of the individual or syndicate that's operating right now with 4 or 5 accounts. They're also comment spamming and with the pob rewards being fairly generous right now, all that dust adds up to hundreds of pob a week over the multiple accounts that they then dump on the market.
I say 'seems' because as suspicious as it all looks, it is very hard to pin down except for the one time they got so lazy. Let's all keep an eye out for low quality engagement coupled with posts with questionable choice of words and hopefully not reward them.
