Jesus is not focused on giving us only earthly glories and riches or living a life totally free of trials.
On the contrary, he does not call us to follow him along the path of self-sacrifice and above all humility. He came to redeem the whole world suffering opposition from evil forces. Wicked and ruthless men and angels have joined forces against the prince of peace, and every act and word of Christ revealed divine compassion and his discontent with the world.
And also all those who want to live godly in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution;
2 Timothy 3:12
This same way it will be with all those people who are willing to live with a commitment to Christ. There is persecution and slander especially for those who are filled with the Holy Spirit and this type of persecution changes as time goes by, but the principle that same spirit that drives it is that same spirit that has caused death to the throughout all time to the elect of God since the days of Abel.
In every dispensation or age of history the enemy has persecuted the children of God. He hanged himself and has killed his children, but when they die they have become winners, bearing witness to the power of the one who is much stronger than the devil. The wicked can kill and torture the body but they can in no way touch the life that is hidden with Christ in God.
Because you have died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God.
Colossians 3:3
Through trials and persecutions the glory of God is revealed to his children and believers are hated and persecuted by the world but they are educated and transformed in the school of Christ. On earth we walk narrow paths and are purified in the furnace of bending, who is we follow Christ in the midst of painful conflicts we endure self-sacrifice and bitter disappointments, but thus we learn the meaning of sin by looking at it with abhorrence.
Having been participants in the afflictions of Christ we can contemplate the most terrible and dense darkness saying the following:
Well, I am certain that the afflictions of the present time are not comparable with the glory to come that will be revealed in us.
Romans 8:18
Jesús no se centra en darnos solamente glorias y riquezas terrenales o de vivir una vida totalmente libre de pruebas.
Todo lo contrario, no llama a seguirle por el camino de abnegación y sobretodo de humildad. El vino a redimir a todo el mundo sufriendo la oposición de las fuerzas malignas. Se han unido entre hombres y ángeles malvados y despiadados aliándose contra el príncipe de paz y cada uno de los actos Y palabras de Cristo revelaban la compasión divina y su disconformidad con el mundo.
Y también todos los que quieren vivir piadosamente en Cristo Jesús padecerán persecución;
2 Timoteo 3:12
Esta misma manera será con todas aquellas personas que están dispuesto a vivir con un compromiso con Cristo. Existe la persecución y la calumnia sobre todo para aquellos que están llenos del espíritu Santo y este tipo de persecución va cambiando a medida que pasa el tiempo, pero el principio ese mismo espíritu que le impulsa es ese mismo espíritu que ha provocado la muerte a lo largo de todos los tiempos a los elegidos de Dios desde los días de Abel.
En cada dispensación o época de la historia el enemigo ha perseguido los hijos de Dios. Ahorcado y ha matado a sus hijos, pero estos al morir se han convertido en vencedores dando testimonio de poder de aquel que es mucho más fuerte que el diablo. Los malvados pueden matar y torturar el cuerpo pero de ninguna manera pueden tocar la vida que está escondida con Cristo en Dios.
Porque habéis muerto, y vuestra vida está escondida con Cristo en Dios.
Colosenses 3:3
Mediante las pruebas y las persecuciones la gloria de Dios se revela sus hijos y los creyentes son odiados y perseguidos por el mundo pero son educados y transformados en la escuela de Cristo. En la tierra caminamos por senderos estrechos y somos purificados en el horno de la flexión, quien es seguimos a Cristo en medio de los dolorosos conflictos soportamos abnegación y amargas decepciones, pero así aprendemos el significado del pecado mirándolo con aborrecimiento.
Habiendo sido partícipes de las aflicciones de Cristo podemos contemplar la más terrible y densa tiniebla diciendo lo siguiente:
Pues tengo por cierto que las aflicciones del tiempo presente no son comparables con la gloria venidera que en nosotros ha de manifestarse.
Romanos 8:18
