Hello and welcome to my page. I'm and this is my 42nd entry to the #pobdaily challenge, an initiative of
and
. Kindly move on with me as i share briefly how my day went and as well charge us to improve on our level of engagement on the post of other Authors of this financial ecosystem.
My day was splendid overall. It all started with a heavy rainfall in the early morning till 9am when the sun set on the sky. The moment the sun appeared, there was warmth and the ground was able to absorbed the fallen water at a very high speed.
Towards evening moment, the warmth sustained the moment till night where cold set in again. Pardon me, i couldn't take lot of photos for the day as my mobile phone battery was completely down due to the absence of power supply. That's the situation we've found ourselves in my country. We supply electricity to neighboring countries and can't boast of a steady power supply for a full week.
So to my point today. I've noticed one situation in hive that is almost becoming a lifestyle to many users on the platform. This issue is known as the "rate of engagement on the posts of other authors".
It's of no doubt that hive is one of the biggest decentralized blogging platform ever. The way it's built is in such a way that rewards our supportive activities in addition to rewarding us on our post. It's built on "interaction" as this is the key to a better network and financial ecosystem. So, you may as well be rewarded when you engage on the post of other authors.
As an author, what gives me joy is not just the post reward but the level of engagements i receive on my post. Basically proper feedback that's said to be interactive and this gives me the sense of joy that my post was been read. How will you fill when you keep making posts without getting feedbacks on your post? If I'm not mistaking, i believe you'll definitely feel unhappy provided you put in lots of energy in creating a quality content that worths reading by users on the platform. In some ocassions, you may receive massive upvotes from diverse curation trails without a feedback on the nature of your work. This can be encouraging for someone whose purpose for creating a content is mainly for its reward alone, and quite unsatisfactory for someone that did it merely for people's read or consumption and interactive feedback.
To this point, I'll suggest we work more on engaging on the post of others within and outside the platform because that is what the communities and hive is built on. The more interaction is fostered, the more connections is creates amidst users and this will help build the kind of community we all desire.
How strong is your level of interaction? Do you take time to engage on the post of others or you just feel it's enough for you to keep making a post without taking a moment to interact with authors? Please lets check ourselves, make amends and work together to promote this financial ecosystem by becoming and engaging with other users on the platform wherever possible. Thank you.
I'm using this medium to appreciate and
for this wonderful initiative and also wish to invite interested #hiveans to be part of this daily challenge.
