Nothing could be as exciting as finally putting the kids to sleep after a very long day. Just as they snoozed off yesterday evening, I sat outside to relax with the beautiful moon view.
Then I thought, "It's almost half the year, still most of my plans and expectations for the year are yet to be fulfilled". It sometimes saddens my heart when i go through my journal and sight that just few tasks had been achieved, some of which were held back due to the pandemic last year. Never thought their could be second wave let alone a third. Well there is always light at the end of the tunnel, I concluded.
I stepped in because I needed to prepare for church.
As I got into the church today been Sunday, I heard the pastor preaching about Thanksgiving. He said
Thanksgiving.is appreciating God from your heart for His goodness and benefits towards you. It is an act of gratitude. Only a heartfelt thanksgiving produces result; therefore be thankful in all circumstances.
REWARDS OF THANKSGIVING:
- It preserves your blessings – Malachi 2:2, Philippians 1:6.
- It attracts perfection from God – Philippians 1:6, Psalm 138:8.
- It turns insufficiency to overflowing abundance – John 6:5-12.
- It guarantees multiplication with glorification – Jeremiah 30:19.
- It guarantees deliverance from all kind of troubles – Jonah 2:9.
- It makes stars, great men and woman out of nobody – John 12:9.
- It guarantees revival and resurrection – Jeremiah 30:19-21.
He closed by saying Thanksgiving reduces panic and fear; always stay calm and believe in the positive when your miracle is yet to manifest. When you thank God from your heart, you provoke Him to give you supernatural abundance.
At this point i realised i needed to stop worrying. I have quite a lot to be grateful for, especially those things i got that weren't on my list.
I had an emergency surgery 3months ago delivering my second son, i could have lost my life but God kept me. I left church with a brighter mentality of gratitude.
Thanks for reading my post today, Hope this will inspire you also to cultivate an attitude of Gratitude.
