La paz es un trabajo diario, hoy más evidente que nunca, porque significa compromiso, actitud del respeto y de tolerancia. No de uno ni de dos, sino de todos.
Leemos de los expertos que nuestra época es caracterizada por ser "frágil", donde la norma diaria es el miedo a que se rompa eso que hemos alcanzado y que tanto costó edificar, haciéndonos entender que vivimos en un mundo en permanente movimiento, donde la interconexión no es tecnológica sino y sobre todo humana.
Deseamos la paz, un anhelo que en consulta nunca perderá su prevalencia, pero que nos exige un esfuerzo. No es un simple regalo que podemos comprar, es un diamante que debemos extraer del carbón, para luego mimarlo y educarnos todos sobre su belleza, su valía y su importancia.
Habitualmente aquello que más apreciamos, lo cuidamos, lo atendemos y hacemos lo que sea necesario para conservarlo, pero con la paz no obramos así; nos dormimos y no velamos para que se afirme y se extienda por todo el planeta.
Por años hemos querido proteger la paz con guerra, hablamos de ella, pero mostramos nuestros dientes, le construimos una burbuja para que sea observada y no vivida, pasamos por alto la llamada «fraternidad existencial», enfocándonos en el peligro que el otro representa.
Es verdad que todos podemos hacer el mal o en palabras de Thomas Hobbes el hombre es lobo para otro hombre, eso nos hace olvidar a Martin Luther King, Gandhi o Santa Teresa de Calcuta quienes son un ejemplo que la paz es posible, porque somos nosotros quienes optamos por ella.
En definitiva, la paz es frágil, pero nuestra voluntad debe ser de hierro para entusiasmarnos como sociedad y así trabajar por mantenerla, porque nuestra humanidad pasa por aquello que nos une, nos acerca, nos hermana y esa es la paz.

Usually we take care of what we value the most, we take care of it, we take care of it and we do whatever is necessary to preserve it, but with peace we do not act in this way; we fall asleep and we do not watch over it so that it may be affirmed and spread all over the planet.
For years we have wanted to protect peace with war, we talk about it, but we show our teeth, we build a bubble for it to be observed and not lived, we overlook the so-called "existential fraternity", focusing on the danger that the other represents.
It is true that we can all do evil or in the words of Thomas Hobbes man is a wolf to another man, that makes us forget Martin Luther King, Gandhi or Saint Teresa of Calcutta who are an example that peace is possible, because we are the ones who choose it.
In short, peace is fragile, but our will must be iron in order to be enthusiastic as a society and thus work to maintain it, because our humanity is based on that which unites us, brings us closer and makes us brothers and sisters, and that is peace.
