Sunset is my favorite part of any day. Recently I decided to stop to see every sunset I can, alone, just so I can practice some active meditation while sitting there at the top of a hill, near my parent's house, gazing at the sun.
The more you look at it, the more you think about it. Our Sun is as filled with mistery as the Moon. Such a old star circling up our lives everyday since dawn of time.
I set science aside when it comes to sungazing. It's all about contemplating it. That great golden ball in the sky isn't just a helium gas flame burning eternally for me. It's something beyond what we can figure out. One of the greatest misteries of the universe. Though it is known that this practice of staring directly to the sun may harm your eyes, but it does have some benefits, even quite the opposite of one might believe, if you do it during the last minutes before the sun sink down the horizon.
I've felt my soul "recharged" after nine days of sungazing in a raw. After that the weather got cloudy and only today Sun came back. Here are the benefits of sungazing that later I found out (no science proof, but you know how it goes):
1."It can increases your energy"
Well, it sure feels good to do it. It's a moment of peace that helps staying positive.
2."Boosts production of the 'feel good hormones' serotonin and melatonin"
No doubt about it.
3."Improves eyesight "
It sounds like fakenews but some say it's been a real practice as a way of healing for many years thoughout many traditions and societies
4."Reduces hunger pains (whole body is nourished by the sun)"
I can doubt that... Well. I know it at least won't harm you.
5."Stimulates the Pineal glad"
Wow. We both just lost the game. My pineal glad got a boner rn.
6."Release of internal emotional blocks"
I can doubt about that too. Again, it does feel good anyway.
7."It is a Vitamine D source."
This is a well known fact.
That's it. Thanks for reading. Stare at the sun!
After posting this I'm gonna do some sungazing. I'm already late! Here's a last pic:
