Hello, friends.
announced the theme of this week's #pobphotocontes as "Minimalism".
Walking along the shore of Lake Naroch on a cloudy autumn day, I took photographs of ducks and swans swimming in the lake. The water and sky were the same gray color. The swans were the only bright spots in this boring landscape. I took a lot of pictures of swans, both in groups and in pairs and individually, but for the current photocontest MINIMALISM, I think a whole swan is too many. That's why I chose a photo where only the back half of the swan's body is present.
In this photo, a swan forages from the bottom of the lake using its long neck, unlike ducks, which dive completely underwater.
Swans on Lake Naroch apparently have favorite underwater pastures. In any case, I constantly saw upside-down birds in the same places.
It’s funny to watch how several swans alternately, and sometimes together, fall under the water, lifting the back of their body up. These birds even manage to swim in this position, moving their paws. At such moments, swans remind me of fishing floats, with the help of which fishermen know that they have caught a fish. Swans are not only beautiful and graceful birds, but can sometimes be quite funny.
