That very small part corresponds to the amount of hydrogen that is in the air that we breathe because that is the fuel that the enzyme needs to work, that would be the bad news and it is that it can extract energy from the air but not much, the good news is that It is real It is a work that researchers from the University of Monas in Australia have done and that has been published in the prestigious scientific journal Nature, they have shown that many bacteria use hydrogen from the atmosphere as a source of energy, they do so in poor environments in nutrients and that's thanks to the enzyme or enzymes called Huc.
