Habitability conditions in Mercury

Scientists from the Planetary Science Institute based in Tucson, Arizona, United States have discovered evidence of possible salt glaciers on Mercury, which they say opens a new frontier of astrobiology by revealing a volatile environment where there could be literally habitable conditions even if only in places as extreme as mercury.

The “Goldilocks” zones, as astrobiologists call them, are in the right zone, neither too close to their star to burn nor too far from their star to freeze, they are in the right zone to maintain liquid water on their surface and maintain habitable conditions.
