Despite the image of a "positive" and "happy" country, Brazil today is not at all like that. Brazil has been going through a complicated moment in its history. The pandemic was only the beginning of a long-announced political and economic destruction.
I don't blame President Bolsonaro. Despite the negative media campaign against him, accusing him of things he never did and said, Bolsonaro is a president with good intentions, but his good intentions are not enough when we are dealing with a state full of vices, such as the Brazilian state.
Political polarization here has reached a very dangerous level. Even more dangerous given the fact that we see the Brazilian media and judiciary with a position of opposition to everything that is proposed by President Jair Bolsonaro. The political persecution of the president of Brazil is something never seen before in the country.
Today, in Brazil, we are witnessing arrests determined by the Brazilian Supreme Court of Justice against journalists, politicians, blogs, websites, YouTube channels of people who support President Jair Bolsonaro or who have right-wing or conservative ideological positions. This is very serious, it makes us think that Brazil is experiencing a dictatorship.
Something strange is happening in Brazil these days and the world must be aware. We don't know how things will play out between now and 2022 when another presidential election takes place.
I only pray that peace is established in Brazil and that our freedom is preserved.
A Good Week Everyone!
