The past week has been very busy with lots of work at the house and in the garden. My orange cats showed no sign of losing weights despite the fact that we have reduced the amount of cat food in their bowls. My gardener told me that the bigger cat, Joan, has been hunting field mice to supplement his diet. The sister cat, Kwan has been wandering far away from the house and returned home the following day. This makes me rather concerned that she might get too addicted to wandering that she might get lost and couldn’t find her way home. So, I am very glad to see orange cats stay close to the house whenever I am around. They would stay close to act like my security guards and they would sleep at their favourite spots.
I have noticed that these cats have become more talkative; they would talk to me in their own ‘words’. Joan was usually very quiet and hardly make any noises; but he has started to talk to me and respond to my conversation with his funny voices. Kwan has always been more responsive and she usually launches into a long monologue to complain about my absence at the house. She would moan for almost ten minutes asking for attention and some comforting gestures. I have to listen to her complaints and show her my emotional support. These cats are becoming more like small children. I just hope that they won’t suddenly talk to me in my language one day. Life would become too complicated if cats could talk like children!
Kwan has her special characteristics of being lively, loving, active and funny. She has funny ways of sleeping which is not suitable for a lady-cat. Joan seems to be a reserved and polite cat with poise and sense of quiet self-confidence. Kwan always seems to need the reassurance of security whenever she couldn’t find her brother. So, very often I have to pick Kwan up and bring her to her brother. Luckily, these two cats remain emotionally dependent on each other and are very loving to each other.
The days are getting more windy and the temperature has suddenly dropped. The cats could feel the cold wind in the evening and on cloudy days. They would sleep longer hours and shift to small space like a cave for their daytime rest. Sometimes I have to search the whole house to find my cats. Joan is very good in finding small hiding place for privacy. Kwan had her new sleeping spot under a table, she would sleep on a cushion on top of a smell chair. The east window has become too cold as the window is always open for ventilation.
Perhaps, I have to close the window on that side so that they could sleep more comfortably there. During the evening, orange cats would watch over me when I water the garden and do my walking meditation. They are more active and alert at night. They would chase after each other and Kwan would show me that she could climb up trees despite being too fat for a small cat. It’s quite reassuring seeing orange cats running around like ponies. This means they have strong muscles and good cardio conditions. I think they are much fitter than me. This means I should be on a diet as well. Then my cats would day there’s equality and justice at last since I have been trying to out them on a diet. Hopefully, they would appreciate my good intention and concern about they’d health. I would love my cats to be very healthy with long happy life in the house.
Wishing you peace, good health and prosperity.
Stay strong and cheerful.
