I'm writing not only about the animated cartoon, the comic books or the comic strips, but about the whole, encompassing all of them.
I can't really be sure about when did I first come in contact with the characters from Peanuts, probably when I was a kid, or maybe I've seen them in a mug, or something just as common as this to this kind of beloved characters. Some time ago(again, I don't really know how much for sure) I brought Snoopy into a conversation I was having with my boyfriend, and he was very defensive of the fact that Snoopy doesn't look like a beagle, even though that's what he is. And now, my boyfriend still denies to accept the fact that Snoopy IS A BEAGLE. Ok, I'm kinda spacing out with what I'm writing, but, my point is that this conversation is what made me bring the Peanuts cartoon and comics into my life again. After it, I went to listen to the cartoon's soundtrack, which is just divine Jazz(and Vince Guaraldi and his Trio, the one's responsible for the greater part of the soundtrack are my favorite jazz dudes, so, also recommend their music!).

Well, my favorite character is Schroeder, but that's simply because he is a pianist, so we're the same species! Oh, yes! Peanuts and Beethoven are kind of a love story. Schroeder plays Beethoven's pieces all the time and also talks about him all the time, because he's a big fan, which I think was a great form Charles Schulz found to show a bit of his own passion for music and also encourage kids to listen to classical music and to learn about it. Even though it's mostly Beethoven and he's already very known, that doesn't matter for a kid at all, they'll only be interested in what the show is showing and in getting to know about these things, specifically.
It's hard for me to recollect the reasons why I like these cartoons and comics so much, I really feel like I just love absolutely everything about it with no exceptions!
I think my favorite thing is the way it portrays the feelings of Charlie Brown, the protagonist, a anxious, sometimes-depressed, socially awkward kid who's only going through life and experiencing things that everyone can relate to, because we've all gone through these things. Charlie Brown is in love with a girl and doesn't know how to tell her, he has a baseball team and has absolutely no talent in baseball, he very commonly comes out as shy, quiet and innocent, and all of these things will come to be part of people's lives at some point, that's the precious part of this show.
In the end, it's all about sensibility, undertanding life, fighting against difficulties and living!

Estou escrevendo não sobre o desenho animado, as revistas em quadrinho ou as tirinhas de jornal, mas sim englobando tudo isso. Eu não consigo ter certeza de quando foi que tive contato com Peanuts pela primeira vez, provavelmente quando eu era criança, ou talvez eu tenha visto os personagens desenhados numa caneca, ou algo tão comum quanto isso para esse tipo de personagens super amados. Há algum tempo(que de novo não tenho certeza de quanto), eu falei sobre o Snoopy numa conversa com meu namorado, e ele ficou muito defensivo do fato de que o Snoopy não parece um beagle, mesmo que ele seja um. E até agora, meu namorado se nega a aceitar o fato de que o Snoopy É UM BEAGLE. Ok, estou me distraindo na escrita agora, mas, meu ponto é que essa conversa foi o que me fez trazer Peanuts de volta pra minha vida. Depois disso, eu resolvi ouvir as trilhas-sonoras, que são, em sua grande maioria, divino Jazz(E Vince Guaraldi e seu Trio são alguns dos meus caras preferidos do Jazz, então, fica a recomendação musical também!)

Bem, meu personagem preferido é o Schroeder, mas simplesmente porque ele é pianista, então somos da mesma espécie. Ah sim! Peanuts e Beethoven são quase uma história de amor. Schroeder toca peças do Beethoven toda hora e fala dele toda hora também, porque ele é um grande fã, o que eu acho que foi uma forma muito inteligente que o Charles Schulz achou de mostrar a paixão dele por música e, ao mesmo tempo, encorajar as crianças a ouvirem música clássica e aprenderem sobre ela. Mesmo que seja basicamente Beethoven, e Beethoven já seja bem conhecido, isso não importa aqui. As crianças apenas ser interessam no que lhes é mostrado, e é sobre isso que elas gostariam de saber mais.
É difícil pra mim recoletar as razões pelas quais eu gosto tanto desse desenho e das tirinhas, eu realmente me sinto como se não houvesse nada sobre eles que eu não gosto, sem exceções! Acho que minha coisa preferida é a forma como são demonstrados os sentimentos do Charlie Brown, o protagonista, uma criança ansiosa, eventualmente deprimida, e socialmente desajeitada, que está apenas passando pelas experiências da vida, coisas com as quais todos nos identificamos, porque também passamos por elas. Charlie Brown é apaixonado por uma menina e não consegue contar para ela, tem um time de baseball sem nenhum talento em baseball, muito comumente sai como tímido e inocente, tipo de coisas que acontecem nas vidas de todos nós, e essa é a parte preciosa desse desenho. No fim, é sobre sensibilidade, entender a vida, lutar contra as dificuldades e viver!
