Hi everybody! I like discovering new things on the Internet. So, today I jumped in the Urban Dictionary to define some words we use in the blockchain.
First, I dived in HIVE. So, here is what I have found:
HIVE stands for various concepts, including a gathering spot, home, or even an irritable person 😁 It is also used as a short form for ''high five''. Also, another definition is that of a location where a community of criminal immigrants gathers to organize their illicit operations. Interesting, isn't it?
Next, the Coin seems to also have some interesting meanings. It is sometimes used to describe ''everything'', such as when addressing someone and considering he is so full of himself or ''nothing'' such as when being asked about what are you doing and you want to respond with ''Nothing'' you could simply say ''Coin''.
But let's see now more intense terms, such as the Token. Token can be used to usually refer to an Afro-American starring in a film in order to appease the Afro-American community and to promote social recognition.
Finally, the word Crypto blows us away in a good sense, of course. It might refer to good drugs as opposed to more soft ones. Maybe that's why cryptocurrency makes you more and more addictive 🤩
I hope you enjoyed my short review of Urban Dictionary terms we often use in the blockchain. Given that I wasn't aware of these alternative definitions, I had both fun and interest in finding out new things related to our HIVE virtual world. And I am sure there is, even more, to be discovered.
