What type of wahala is this? Jide asked as he hit his fist on the bonnet of his car. That was the firth times the car was developing a fault within a week.
Jide had bought a car from a road side mechanic two weeks ago. After selling his bike and few others of his personal belongings to raise three hundred thousand naira (300,000) to purchase the car.
The wahala begins a day after he bought the car. It was the tyres at first, they were flattened in the morning which he went to the vulcanizer to pump the tyres for him. Since it was a minor problem. But what he forgot was that wahala has no end. It's like a bicycle, it has no reverse gear.

It's normal to have a flatten tyres especially when the car is not a new one. Jide gave himself an excuse not to believe that he has just bought wahala for himself. It was Monday morning, jide proudly parked his newly bought car at the parking slot in his place of work. "Congratulations Mr jide" Miss Janet said as she stretched her hand and shocked Jide for his newly bought car. " thank you miss Janet" he said smiling mildly. Miss Janet who was happy that she now have a coworker who will always be giving her a lift to and fro from work was already seated in the car when jide tried to kick start the car after the closing hour. "kikikikikikiki, kikikikikikiki" the car makes the sound. "I think it's the battery" jide said. He opened the bonnet and hit the metal that was attached to the battery, but the car could not kick start. He looked left and right to see if he could see any passerby to help him push the car, but could find no one. "Miss Janet, can you please help me push the car?" he asked miss Janet who was already tired waiting for the car to start.
Nothing good comes easy, he most have thought. He bought a new car battery the next day. Wahala have no end, it only wait for one problem to be solved before another starts.
It was Wednesday, he did checked almost everything in the car to be sure it was good before taking it out that day. It is good to go, he said. It was a smooth drive from his house to the major road. After 10 minute of his drive on the major road, there was smoke in the bonnet of the car. He parked the car beside the road and managed to open the bonnet. There was smoke everywhere inside the bonnet. The fan belt from car most have cut loose, and caused the car to over heat.
He called a mechanic to come fit the problem in the car. " oga sir, this car is wahala, I will advise you to park the car" the mechanic said after observing the multiple problem the car has.
